The town that dreaded sundown (2014) - a dread that is never quite felt...

Based on the myths surrounding the 1946 killings in Texarkana this film uses the original movie release as a catalyst for what unfolds. In principle it is a very clever plot device to kickstart what could have paid homage to old school slasher movies. However they wimp out when it comes to the violence, there is little worthwhile suspense and with a jokingly stupid twist there is nothing of real added value worth mentioning.

Worth a watch: Hard no

Entertaining: Barely

Farquaad's View: Could have been so much better but lacks any balls to do so
