An honest look at sobriety and the challenges faced by addicts. In this series we follow the head of AA meeting for the less than savoury down and out personalities of Seattle. A mix of dark humour, outright silliness that is peppered with some real gems of emotion I found this to be a real hard hitting insight into the more extreme emotional twists and turns that accompany sobriety. Ron Livingston is magnificent as Loudermilk and gives such a raw and enthralling performance. Over 3 seasons the creators made very few bad moves and ending it when they did ensured captivation and doesn't risk apathy in the writing.
