At least with Fast & Furious it was clear that Vin Diesel was a criminal on the right side of morals, but in this it seems they went for the reverse but not in a good way. The opening 30 mins is vomit layer after vomit layer of ramming home the love between the main man and his wife till its plain to see she has not long for the screen world. Then the revenge begins and what follows defies normal thought and responsibilities. Even the resulting death of 3 DEA agents, all because of a lost temper, brings very little remorse or consequence to the limping (literally) end that lacks any form of hero moment. Not to mention the obligatory Vin Diesel voice over providing hurrah context.
